Hi Product Hunt! 👋
After we made Ottori the otter, my daughter said she wanted to make a meerkat, too. That's how Mangbori began: from my daughter's meerkat sketch. The art was drawn with the help of AI, in the same hand-drawn style.
Meerkats take turns standing on high ground to keep watch for their group. Mangbori keeps watch by your side all day, and makes a big fuss over the smallest things.
I'm not a developer. I built this program step by step with an AI coding assistant.
What Mangbori does:
• Click it for a happy hop, click the white belly for tickles, rub your mouse over it for a belly rub
• Drag it and it dangles; let go quickly and... thud!
• Rush your mouse in from far away and the lookout gets startled, points "Over there!", or dives into its burrow (Full edition)
• Clicks anywhere except on Mangbori go straight through, and it hides when you go full screen
Mangbori's promise: it never reads what you type, what's on your screen, or your window titles, and never sends anything over the internet.
