Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Mohammad, maker of Manfath (منفذ — Arabic for "port"). This started from a small daily annoyance: I'd lose track of what was actually running on my Mac. Was it :3000 from yesterday's Next.js app? Did I forget to kill that Postgres container? Why is :8080 taken? My workflow became a loop of lsof -i :PORT and kill -9 — fast, but ugly and easy to fumble. I wanted something that just showed me every port, every process, in one place and let me kill or share any of them in one click. So I built Manfath. It lives in your menu bar and: 🔍 Scans every listening port every 3 seconds, zero config ⚡ One click to open localhost:PORT in your browser 💀 One click to kill a stuck process — no more hunting PIDs 🌐 One click to expose any port via a public tunnel (cloudflared, ngrok) 🕊️ Runs entirely on your machine. No accounts, no telemetry, no cloud. It's free and open source (MIT). I built it for myself first, but every dev I've shown it to (3 in total) has asked for the link, so here we are. The whole app is bilingual EN/AR from day one — small thing, but Arabic-speaking devs deserve native tools too, and the name منفذ literally means "port," which felt right. Would love your feedback, especially on: - What's missing for your stack? - Which tunnel providers should I add next? - Bugs, edge cases, weird port behaviors I haven't seen. Roadmap is open on GitHub — issues and PRs very welcome. Happy to answer anything in the comments 🙏

Who hunted Manfath?

Manfath was hunted by Mohammad. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
