A few months ago I watched a friend dig through a shoebox trying to find a receipt for a warranty claim — the thermal paper had faded to a blank grey strip. That was the moment Makecepeit started.
Receipts are quietly broken. They fade within months, they vanish exactly when you need one for an expense report or a return, and every "receipt maker" I tried hid the basics behind a sign-up wall or a subscription before you could even see what you were making.
So I built the tool I wished existed: a free online receipt maker that just works.
