Mailwell is a native Mac mail app for people with more than one account. Gmail, iCloud, Fastmail, Kagi Mail, Microsoft 365 and any IMAP or JMAP server share one unified inbox. Mail is stored on your Mac and syncs straight to your provider: no Mailwell servers, no tracking, no ads. Inbox tabs, rules, snooze, send later, and undo for everything. AI is optional and off by default. Turn on MCP and Claude can search your mail, read only.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Luke. I've been wanting a simple mail client that works with JMAP, IMAP and Microsoft 365 alike, so I built one. A few things I cared about: • A real Mac app. Built in SwiftUI, and it works offline. • Your mail stays between your Mac and your provider. There's no Mailwell server in the middle. I can't read your mail and nothing is used for ads or training. • Open standards. IMAP and JMAP, plus Microsoft 365 through Microsoft sign-in. Gmail, iCloud and Yahoo connect with an app password, and setup walks you through making one. • Nothing gets lost. Drafts and queued actions survive a quit or a crash, and you can undo moves and sends. • AI only if you want it. Summaries and plain-English rules, off by default. It can use Apple Intelligence on your Mac or your own API key. • MCP. If you use Claude, you can let it search and read your mail through Mailwell. Read only, off until you turn it on. It's $5/month or $49/year, one license for up to 3 Macs, with a 7-day free trial and no card needed. The subscription helps cover costs and keeps it in development. 🎁 For Product Hunt: the first 200 people get their first year for $29 (normally $49) with code PRODUCTHUNT. I'd love to hear what's missing for you, especially from people with unique setups.

Comment highlights

Four inboxes and I spend half my day switching between them like it's a second job. A calmer place to read mail where nobody's tracking what shows up, that'd be a relief. Nice one, Luke.

Keeping the mail directly between your Mac and your provider is probably the biggest selling point for me. I like not having another service sitting in the middle.

Very helpful product! I've been using Spark for a long time, but I feel it's moving away from its original vision.

Two questions:

  1. Do you offer lifetime deals?

  2. Is the product lightweight in terms of RAM and CPU usage? I've been traumatized by Electron apps
