Top comment

Hey PH 👋 I built Socrates AI because I noticed I'd stopped thinking through problems — I'd just ask an AI and paste the answer. So I built the opposite: a chat AI that, by default, questions your reasoning instead of solving it for you. Ask "what's the capital of France" and it'll wonder aloud why you need to know. Ask it to help debug your code and it'll ask what you've already tried. There's a "Thinker Mode" toggle if you want the interrogation dialed up or down, and it's still practically useful — math, code, research — it just makes you do some of the work first. Built solo, nights and weekends. Would love your brutally honest feedback (or better yet, argue with it and see if it holds up).
