Mai - Hacky Messenger browser extension & API for the Meta Glasses. Introducing the update to my Meta Vision API project! Add features like: "Hey Meta send a photo to my Foodlog" "Hey Meta, send a message to ChatGPT" And even video monitoring!
A hacky but simple way to add more advanced and custom functionality to the Meta Rayban glasses!
It works by installing "Mai" a browser extension for Facebook Messenger that allows for the monitoring and responding to chat messages and images.
- Create an alt facebook account
- Follow the steps in the readme to trick the glasses to identify custom names with Hey Meta send a message to ____ (ChatGPT, Perplexity etc)
- Set any API keys in the extension
- Start monitoring Chat
- Any new message received will then be processed by the extension depending on the config

Thanks : )
Xiaomi also launched their AI glasses yesterday. I guess it's much harder to hack them with this method, because they probably don't have a feature like Facebook Messenger?
