I built Mad Chatter Live because of the gap between "we should talk" and actually talking. Someone says let's catch up, and then it's five steps: pick an app, find a time, send an invite, wait, hope the link works. Most of those conversations quietly never happen.
Credit where it's due: the spark came from my closest friend Madison Smith. We were talking about how clunky video chat is, I asked what he'd call something that fixed it, and he said "Mad Chatter." The name is his. I ran with it from there.
So Mad Chatter is one thing: your @handle is a live address. Put it in a bio, an email signature, a business card. Someone taps it, your phone rings, and you're talking. They don't install anything and they don't sign up.
The part I spent the most time on isn't the video. It's making an address you'd actually feel safe publishing. You choose who can ring you, first-time callers wait for your approval, you can set quiet hours, and blocking someone tells them nothing.
