I built Food Balance Tracker because I was tired of how tedious and rigid traditional food tracking apps felt. Most trackers force you to search through massive databases for basic everyday items, and they treat nutrition like strict calorie math rather than habits. I wanted something cleaner, faster, and more personal. Two big pain points drove this project:
1. Tedious Manual Logging: Generic apps don't remember personal habits—like always having almond milk in your coffee instead of whole milk. I wanted an app with smart food rules and photo recognition that learns recurring preferences automatically. 2. Lack of Gamification: Calorie counting can feel like a chore. By converting nutritional value into a gamified point system—where you set your own daily point targets and balance food based on nutritional worth—nutrition becomes a clear, rewarding goal you actually want to hit every day.

Macro Scale was hunted by Mohammed Mayat. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
