I’m Vladimir, a solo developer from Estonia, and Luxury Fireplace started with a surprisingly simple question.
When I bought my Cadillac Lyriq, I was amazed by its beautiful 33-inch display, premium sound system and Android Automotive OS. While looking for something relaxing to enjoy during charging stops, I realized there was almost nothing built to take advantage of that hardware. Plenty of streaming apps—but nothing designed to simply make the cabin feel warmer and more inviting.
So I decided to build it myself.
My goal wasn’t just to play fireplace videos. I wanted to create an experience that truly used the large display and immersive multi-speaker audio systems found in modern Android Automotive vehicles. Something that felt native, polished and worthy of the hardware.
What started as a personal project for my own car gradually evolved into native apps for Android Automotive OS, Android Auto, Android TV and mobile. Every platform has its own interface, carefully curated and optimized HD fireplace scenes, offline playback and immersive 5.1 surround sound, while sharing the same experience across the Android ecosystem.
Everything—from development and design to content curation, optimization, publishing and support—was created by one person.
The first testers found the project through Reddit communities. Their feedback, bug reports and ideas shaped many parts of the app, and seeing people enjoy it in their own Polestars, Volvos, Cadillacs and other Android Automotive cars has been incredibly rewarding.
This is actually my second Product Hunt launch. Interestingly, my first product was born exactly the same way—I couldn’t find a tool I needed for sharing my content on Facebook Business Pages, so I built it myself. Apparently, that’s just how my projects begin.

What’s one app you’ve always wished your car had, but still doesn’t exist?
genuine question, not trying to be a downer, is this locked to only play when the car is parked/charging? a full HD fireplace video on the dash display while actually driving seems like a real distraction risk, curious how you're handling that on the automotive side vs just phone/TV
How well does the 5.1 surround mix actually hold up over car speakers or just typical phone stereo, since most people aren't running a real surround setup in those environments?
Played one of the scenes on my TV and the crackling audio actually tricked my dog into checking the room. Nice touch having everything work offline too.
Does the 5.1 surround sound actually work on a phone speaker or do you need to pair it with headphones or a car audio system for the full effect?
