Lunar Paper Public Beta
19 apps to plan, create and collaborate on your own server
Lunar Paper brings 19 apps for planning, content, data, automation and creative work into one self-hosted platform. Most apps support live collaboration, with shared accounts and permissions. Group related work into Services so apps can work together—from forms and workflows to dashboards, documents and design tools. Run it with Docker Compose, connect your own AI providers or leave AI off entirely. The full platform is free for up to three people, with no time limit. Now in public open beta.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Ben, the maker of Lunar Paper.
I’ve spent 15+ years working with low-code, collaboration and content management systems in government. A couple of years ago, I started experimenting with AI to see what I could build from that experience. After a few restarts and plenty of scope expansion, Lunar Paper is the result.
The idea is to bring planning, content, data and creative work together on infrastructure you control. There are now 19 apps, from projects, forms and automation to documents, dashboards, design tools and audio composition. Related work lives in “Services,” which group content and let the apps work together.
A few things worth knowing:
- It runs with Docker Compose.
- Most apps support live collaboration, with shared accounts and permissions.
- AI features are optional, and you can connect your own providers and models.
- The full platform is free for up to three people, with no time limit. It’s proprietary software for now.
The application code is fully AI-generated, with me directing development and testing. So far, testing has been limited to my own environments. This is an early public beta: expect bugs and possible security issues. I recommend keeping the main platform on an internal network with controlled remote access.
I’d really appreciate feedback on what feels useful, confusing or missing.
Which part would you try first—and what would you want it to work with?
Thanks for taking a look!
