Build personal apps with Node.js and DOM in one place
I started Lumiana because I wanted to build personal apps with the UI and Node.js libraries in the same place, without writing a separate API just to connect them.
You connect to a Node.js engine first. The browser runs the application code, while the engine handles the operations that need access to the system.
I've been trying it with small apps: a terminal using xterm and node-pty, a ZIP tool using Archiver, and a folder monitor using Chokidar. The UI and library calls live together in one application file.
It's still experimental, and Node.js compatibility is not complete. The goal is to use existing libraries as they are, without modifying them or writing custom compatibility code for each package.
