Lsyncer is a native macOS app that replaces broken cloud sync for dev projects. iCloud Drive tries to sync every file in node_modules,git, and build caches — thousands of tiny files that freeze your Mac. Lsyncer skips them automatically. $19.99 one-time, no subscription.
Hey PH! I'm Jakub, and I built Lsyncer because iCloud nearly ruined two of my projects.
I'm a Mac developer working with Node.js. If you know node_modules, you know the pain - thousands of tiny files, constant background syncing, and a Mac that eventually just… stops. The spinner never ends.
It happened to me twice. The first time I lost half a day waiting for iCloud to finish syncing a project. The second time was worse - I was right in the middle of a release, deadline breathing down my neck, and my whole dev environment froze up because iCloud decided to re-index node_modules. Again. I couldn't build, couldn't commit, couldn't do anything. That's when I knew I had to fix this properly.
Lsyncer is what I came up with. It syncs folders between your Mac and another location (external drive, NAS, another Mac) without touching the garbage that chokes cloud sync. You pick what to sync, and it just works - no index storms, no mystery pauses, no "iCloud Drive is updating" messages at the worst possible moment.
It's a one-time $19 purchase. No subscription, no cloud account, no vendor lock-in. Your files stay local.
I'd love to hear if you've hit the same wall. Happy to answer any questions!
