Write a short letter, seal it, and forget it. One year later to the day, it lands back in your inbox in your own words, from a version of you that no longer exists. Write alone, or seal one with someone else and open each other's on the same day.
A year ago I wrote something down and forgot about it. When I found it again, I barely recognised the person who wrote it and that gap was the whole point.
So I built Love Future You. You write a short letter, seal it, and it comes back to your inbox exactly one year later. No feed, no app, nothing to check. You forget it exists, which is what makes it land.
You can also seal one with someone else you both write in the same sitting, and a year later you read each other's. That one's been the most interesting to build, and the hardest to get right.
Built solo. Happy to answer anything about how the sealing works or why I chose a rolling one-year date instead of a fixed one.
