We've received lots of feedback that people love the speed of AI, but crave the control over granular changes that design tools offer.
We've fixed this.
Introducing Visual Edits to Lovable.
What's new?✨
Changes to your Lovable projects could previously be made through prompting our AI, or committing code changes directly to Github.
Now, you can directly change text or components in the app interface. Edits there are instant and do not require a prompt to Lovable.
How to use Visual Edits in Lovable: 1. In the editor, you will then see a new button called "Edit" in the prompt box 2. Click "Edit" and select the element you want to change
3. Edit the element with any of our controls - or by applying custom Tailwind classes
Whether you are a designer, a developer, or have another background -- We think that this is the first step towards an entirely new way of building software.
This is of course just the beginning and we're already envisioning countless additions to the MVP. Would love your feedback & hear what you'd love to see added!
LOVABLE IS GREAT. But I noticed the more I used it the more mistakes it made. Then I was told I used all my questions. I kinda feel It was done on purpose to get me to upgrade. Because I had no issues before with Lovable understanding all my other builds even the more difficult ones.
I really Love Lovable and hope I am wrong. I have over 7,000 students That want to build with No-code platforms and I want to make sure Lovable fixes this issue before I send them this way. Other then that it has been so good!!!!
I started using Lovable four days ago, and I already think it's the best tool ever for entrepreneurs. The only thing I was missing was this feature… and now it's here! You guys are insane! 🔥
One UX recommendation from a user: Add the edit button to the header of the preview window as well. Having it only in the chat box isn’t intuitive.
I think this is an amazing app. As someone who does not know anything about programming but having a clear idea about the app I wanted to build, Lovable made the job as easy as turning on a PC. It may never be practical, but what I just did is amazing to me. Someone with knowledge about programming may find this app invaluable.
Convenient utility tools have really changed the way many people work, and how to quickly master these tools has become an essential working ability.

I want to recommend the Lovable Visual Edits app! This is a godsend for those who work with web design and want to make quick and accurate changes to pages. The app allows you to edit sizes, colors, content, and element styles, creating an experience similar to Figma but with unique, user-friendly functionality.
Coooool! AI has really changed a lot of industries. Making a website or app UI design used to be a huge hassle. There were so many steps and you had to deal with code links. But now, AI can generate it right away. I can't wait to try it out.
Finally an AI web editor I can pass on to my wife.
This now meets the bar for her to build her own websites.

Will this work with existing Github repos? Lets say I have a marketing site built in NextJS. Can I use Lovable/Visual Editing to make changes to it?
