Lookspan is local-first observability for AI agents. npx lookspan runs a dashboard on your machine — traces with a timeline/waterfall, a readable transcript per LLM call, cost & latency, plus replay, LLM-as-judge and datasets. MCP-native, OpenAI/Anthropic drop-ins, OpenTelemetry. Your prompts never leave your box. MIT.

Hi PH 👋 I'm Jonathan, I built Lookspan. Every LLM observability tool I tried was SaaS — account, cloud, per-event pricing — before I could see a single trace. Lookspan is the opposite: npx lookspan → local dashboard, data stays on your machine, $0 infra. Beyond tracing it closes the loop: replay a prompt against another model and diff cost/latency/output, score with an LLM-judge, run datasets in batch. MCP-native, one-line OpenAI/Anthropic drop-ins, OTel receiver. MIT & early — I'd love feedback on what's missing. Thanks for checking it out!

Who hunted Lookspan?

Lookspan was hunted by Jonathan Martín. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
