I did not build LockSlides because the world needed another AI design tool. I built it because creating one good carousel was taking far too much work.
I kept seeing the same problem, both for myself and for other creators. You have the idea. You know what you want to say. But then comes the painful part: splitting the content into slides, figuring out the structure, designing each slide, keeping everything on-brand, and making sure the final carousel actually looks good.
A simple post could easily turn into an hour of work.
That was the original idea behind LockSlides: what if you could give it your idea and get a strong, branded carousel back in minutes?
The first versions were much simpler. I was mainly focused on generating the slides quickly. But while building and testing it, I realised speed alone was not enough. People did not want AI to completely take over the creative process. They wanted a strong starting point, but they still wanted control.
So LockSlides evolved into something more flexible. It now combines AI-assisted creation with brand kits, reusable templates, live editing, and social-ready exports.
The goal stayed the same throughout: make creating a great carousel feel less like designing from scratch every single time.
