I run LocalHero, and this tool came out of a pattern I kept seeing over and over: local service businesses (plumbers, HVAC, electricians, dentists, roofers...) with genuinely nice-looking websites that were completely invisible in Google's Map Pack — the block of 3 businesses at the top of local search that gets ~44% of all clicks.
The problem is that generic SEO tools weren't built for this. They check things like content length and backlinks, but they don't check the 5 signals that actually decide local ranking: is your phone number visible as text (not buried in JS), is your address readable HTML, do you have LocalBusiness schema, is your city in your title tag, do you have a map embed. A site can pass every generic SEO audit and still fail all five of these.
So I built a free tool that runs all of that — plus real Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores — in about 20-30 seconds. No signup gate on the results, no credit card.
