I built LocalAnt because I wanted ChatGPT to be useful on real local development tasks without giving it an unsafe raw shell.
The goal is a permissioned bridge: ChatGPT plans and reasons, while your machine exposes only controlled local capabilities like files, git, shell, browser, ADB, and coding-agent workflows.
I would love feedback from people experimenting with MCP, ChatGPT connectors, and local coding agents: should the default security mode be stricter, or is local approval plus audit logging the right balance?
