Hi Product Hunt, I'm Sam, and I built Literacy Trail for the people who teach reading one child at a time: tutors, homeschooling parents, and reading interventionists.
The problem is not the lesson. It is the six days between lessons. On Tuesday a child nails "sh". By the next week you cannot remember whether it was "sh" or "ch", which of your eleven students needs the "ck" review, or exactly where you stopped in three different programs. The record lives in a notebook, the margins of a manual, and a spreadsheet that was last accurate in October.
Literacy Trail does one job: it keeps your place. Press Start, teach from your own materials, and tap one of three ratings: Needs support, Developing, or Secure. That tap lines up the next lesson, brings the shaky skill back on the right day, and adds a line to a progress report you can print for a parent, a co-op, or an evaluator.
What it deliberately does not do: no lesson content, no student logins, no scores or reading levels, and no AI touching your students' records. UFLI Foundations is set up out of the box (all 148 lessons); any other sequence can be typed in or imported.
Pricing: one student is free for as long as you like. Family is $9.99 a month for up to 5, Educator is $14.99 for 25 with more at $0.50 each, and schools pay $4 per student per year. Product Hunt visitors can use this link for 30 days of Educator on us: https://literacytrail.com/login?...
