I used to spend a lot of time on simple browser games whenever I was bored. At some point I thought — why not spend that time on something more useful? I needed to learn German vocabulary for communicating with native speakers, as I moved to Germany, but I didn't want the process to feel like studying. So I built Lingua Maps — an educational game you actually want to play, where you can learn words together with other people in real time.
Love the idea of tying vocab to actual German geography. The Method of Loci twist makes memorizing less rote, though I kept forgetting whether I was conquering Bavaria or just misspelling it.
