Lignique
Create consistent AI comics, storyboards and visual stories
Lignique turns one-off AI image generation into a continuity-controlled workflow for comics, storyboards and graphic novels. Creators can lock reusable characters, styles, backgrounds and props across panels, then target specific areas for AI editing instead of regenerating entire scenes. The result is less prompt rebuilding, repetition and rework—and greater consistency and creative control from concept to final export. Lignique is free throughout open beta, with no payment or card required.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I’m Jayadevan-Jai for short-a comic creator and the founder of Lignique.
I built Lignique after repeatedly confronting a limitation in general AI image tools: they can create impressive individual images, but sequential storytelling requires characters, styles, locations and props to remain recognisable across many panels. Rebuilding that context in every prompt-and regenerating an entire scene to correct one small area-made the process slow, repetitive and difficult to control.
Lignique approaches this as a workflow problem rather than simply another one-shot image generator. Creators can lock reusable characters, styles, backgrounds and props, carry them across frames, and use targeted AI editing to revise selected areas. The goal is to reduce repetition and rework while preserving the creator’s artistic direction.
The product has evolved from a desktop prototype into a browser-based SaaS, shaped through real comic creation, production testing and early-user feedback. Lignique is now free throughout open beta, with no payment or card required.
I would especially value honest feedback from comic artists, storyboard creators, illustrators, writers and anyone developing character-led visual stories:
• Does the workflow make continuity easier?
• Which step feels unclear or slow?
• What would make Lignique genuinely useful in your production process?
Thank you for exploring Lignique and helping shape what comes next.
- Jai
