Hey everyone, I built this tracker because I wanted a practical way to bring the Mangala Sutta—the Buddha’s teaching on the 38 blessings—into my actual daily routine. If you aren't familiar, the Sutta isn't about mystical things; it’s a highly practical blueprint for living a good life, covering everything from avoiding toxic environments to taking care of your family. Most tracking apps just feel like digital chore lists. I wanted a calm, intentional space focused on "environmental design"—structuring your surroundings and habits so that doing the right thing becomes the path of least resistance. How it works & why I built it this way: The Mangala Sutta at the Core: The tracking modules map directly to those 38 blessings. I’ve updated the language to fit modern life (for instance, using "Cherishing spouse and children" to keep it fully inclusive). Zero Accounts or Cloud Storage: I don't want your data, and you shouldn't have to trust a third-party server with your personal life reflections. The app runs 100% in your browser cache (LocalStorage). Your data is yours, and there's a simple JSON export/import tool in the footer for backups. Minimalist Design: The app opens right past any signup walls. I spent a lot of time getting the visual balance right—everything centers neatly under a lotus graphic at the top, with quick links to instructions and the traditional Sutta chant on Spotify. It’s completely free and private. I'm looking for honest feedback on everything: Does the layout feel balanced on your device? Does the transition from ancient philosophy to daily habits make sense? If you try to export/import your data, does it work smoothly? Let me know what you think! Scott

Comment highlights

The lotus icon sitting centered above a minimalist grid is such a thoughtful anchor, and the local-first approach with JSON export shows real respect for user trust. Love that the traditional chant is one tap away without cluttering the rest of the layout.

the local-first approach is a nice touch, especially for something this personal. love that the 38 blessings are mapped out clearly without feeling cluttered.

Love the local-first approach and the minimalist lotus-centered UI. One thing that would make this even better for me is a daily reflection prompt tied to one of the 38 blessings, so after I check off habits I can jot a quick note about how that blessing showed up that day. Would deepen the mindfulness practice without adding clutter to the interface.
