When Omegle shut down in November 2023, the simplest way to meet a stranger online disappeared with it. Most of what replaced it is either full of bots or has no moderation at all.
Libekoo is our attempt at the boring, honest version: pick a nickname, press Start, talk to someone. No account, no app, no data harvesting. Video runs peer-to-peer over WebRTC so the stream never touches our servers, everything is hosted in Paris under GDPR, and every one-click report is read by a human.
The community is still small and mostly French-speaking. We would rather say that than promise crowds that do not exist. The busiest moment is 9 pm Paris time.
