I am personally a serious and committed reader, reading several dozens of books a year. As well as that, I usually start my day by reading news articles, however my native language is not English, so sometimes it becomes hard to connect the dots when encountering a word that is not commonly used in day-to-day life. The usual solution to this problem is usually to just look up its meaning in Google Translate, however what if its definition means one thing, and in combination with other words it means a completely different thing? This is why I've built Lexio - a Contextual Definition tool, which will give you the meaning of the word in that exact context, in which it was written. The tool understands 11 languages and can output the meaning in the same amount as well. You just tap the word and you're done!
I have also made a Chrome extension version of Lexio, which lets you just highlight your word with your cursor on any webpage and the popup will appear, explaining what it means in context.
With Lexio, I want to improve the literacy of my users in hopes they can use the knowledge they gained with Lexio to understand each other better. Let's make a more understanding world!
