One MCP server that gives any AI agent — Claude, Cursor, or your own — authoritative EU law: semantic search across EU legislation and Court of Justice case law, citation graphs, and full documents from EUR-Lex. Open-source. Free to explore.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Nejc, the maker of Lex/API.
I build AI tools for European law, and I kept hitting the same wall: EU law is completely public — EUR-Lex has every regulation, directive and Court of Justice judgment in 24 languages — but it was built for humans reading documents, not machines reasoning over them. No semantic search, no citation graph, no clean API. So every legal-AI project quietly burns its first month scraping and wrangling EUR-Lex before it can do anything interesting.
I got tired of rebuilding that layer, so I turned it into a product.
Lex/API gives any AI agent authoritative EU law through one MCP server:
🔍 Semantic search across legislation (down to the article) and Court of Justice case law
🕸️ Citation graphs — what a judgment cites, and what cites it
📄 Full documents + metadata by CELEX number or EUR-Lex URL
📰 Recent Official Journal monitoring
🌍 24 languages, every result linked back to the official source
Because it's MCP-native, you add it to Claude, Cursor, or your own agent in one line — and the model reasons over real, citable EU law instead of hallucinating it.
It's only been live about a month, and 100+ developers have already signed up — entirely from search, with zero marketing. This Product Hunt launch is our first real push.
