Selling locally sucks. No-shows, lowballers, fake cash, 40 "is this still available?" messages with zero sales. Lesto fixes the root cause: buyers must put money in escrow before they can message you. No commitment - no access. On top of that: snap a photo, AI identifies the item and suggests a fair price in 30 seconds. List in under a minute. Local pickup only. 0% seller fee for early sellers. SF Bay Area, expanding.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋

I'm Vlad, maker of Lesto.me

It started with a $15 box fan. I listed it on existing platforms, included a link to the Amazon product page with full specs, and spent two days answering the same questions anyway - what year is it, does it work, what's the wattage. About 15 conversations. Someone offered $5 and disappeared. I donated the fan.

The real problem: these platforms let anyone message you for free, including people who were never going to buy. Real buyers get lost in the noise. The seller burns out and donates the item.

It also opens the door to scammers - fake payment screenshots, lowballers operating from multiple accounts, requests to ship instead of meet. We don't have that problem. Lesto is local-only, cash-free, real people only.

How it works: buyers put money in escrow before they can message you. No deposit - no access. And instead of filling out listings manually (2-3 min, fine for one item - but who has one item?), you snap a photo and AI handles the rest in 30 seconds.

Where we are:
- SF Bay Area, US only
- First real transactions done ✓
- Seller-first for now — chicken-and-egg is real
- Growing organically

Early offer: 0% service fee locked for life + $10 Amazon gift card for your first 3 listings.

Next time you're about to list something on Craigslist or Marketplace - try Lesto instead.

Note: Since we're Bay Area only right now — if you want to browse, use zip code 95128 (San Jose, CA) or 95032 (Los Gatos, CA). You'll see what's live in the area.

Happy to answer anything, and open to connecting if this space interests you 🙌
