LessPhoto helps you quickly clean similar photos, swipe delete unwanted shots, and compress large images to save iPhone storage. You can review cleanup suggestions in one place, sort photos with simple swipe gestures, and make large images smaller so your photo library feels lighter. Main features: - Similar Photos: find similar images and keep the best shots - Swipe Delete: swipe left or right to keep or delete photos - Large Compression: reduce the size of large images
Have you noticed that the fuller your photo library gets, and the more iCloud asks you to upgrade, the less you want to look back? Life is limited, and photos should also be limited to only the memorable ones, so we can truly cherish them. For this reason, I built this iOS app called LessPhoto.
LessPhoto is designed to make photo organization lighter and more effortless. I follow a "less is more" product philosophy: reducing complex filters and redundant settings, and surfacing priority content on the home screen to lower the barrier for users to start cleaning.
I want to offer basic cleaning features to users completely for free. Duplicate photos, screenshots, low-quality photos, screen recordings, and short videos are all free to use with no limits. Core features like similar photo detection, swipe-based card selection, and large image compression refresh with a daily free quota to meet everyday needs.
Similar photo detection focuses on more accurate recognition and easier decision-making. To improve recognition accuracy, I have made over a dozen major algorithm logic revisions and hundreds of parameter tweaks. Similar photo results are presented in batches to reduce the decision pressure caused by large numbers of photos. The Featured view combines photo differences to provide more suggestions on which photos to keep, helping users decide more easily.
The Swipe feature focuses on a responsive feel. It follows the left-right browsing experience that iOS users are familiar with, and adds swipe-up to delete and batch confirmation. Users can judge each photo naturally, with smooth and responsive interaction feedback and fluid animations, ensuring that quick cleanup does not become a risky operation.
LessPhoto always respects user privacy: it only accesses the photo library after authorization, all photo analysis is completed on-device, and no user data is tracked.
The current iOS system photo library is too heavy – so heavy that it makes us forget the original purpose of taking photos. I have spent a lot of effort refining the algorithm and interaction design to make it both smart and restrained. If you have the same trouble, I hope this can help you.

LessPhoto was hunted by Aleezhou. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
