One morning, walking my son to school, he threw a riddle at me that he'd
learned in class the day before. I got it wrong. He laughed. Then came
another one. Then another.
Something clicked: he remembered everything perfectly — not because he'd
studied, but because he was quizzing me. No flashcards, no forced revision.
Just questions, and a natural urge to keep going.
I went looking for an app to keep that going at home. Couldn't find what
I was looking for — everything was either shallow gamification or dry
school-style content. So I built it.
Six months later, Devinettes runs on my son's phone every evening before
bed. 1,400+ questions across 18 topics, designed for kids aged 6–12,
zero ads, zero data collected.
One principle guided every decision: build something I'd hand to a child
without a second thought. And something that actually teaches — not just
kills time.
