I built Lemonade because I wanted an AI assistant that could actually see my files, and I wasn't willing to upload them to find out.
Everything runs on your own machine. It manages its own local model runtime, so there's no second app to install and configure — you open it and it works. It reads your documents, writes real .docx/.xlsx/.pptx files, searches the web with sources you can click, and builds you small tools — a tracker, a calculator — that run locally and keep their own data.
The part I'm least certain about: it's $49 once, not a subscription. No account, no seats, no usage meter — because there's no server for me to run. That felt right, but I genuinely don't know if it reads as "too cheap to be real" or as a relief. I'd like to know.
Two honest caveats. It wants a reasonably modern machine, and a local 7B model is not GPT-5. Most of my build time went into the plumbing that makes a small model behave — making it plan before it acts, holding it to the plan, and catching the dozen ways it quietly goes wrong.
