Top comment

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built LeftHandy because using a mouse with your left hand on macOS has always felt like a second-class experience. While macOS natively lets you swap click behaviors in System Settings, it has never provided a native way to mirror system cursors. Left-handed users are left using right-handed pointers that lean the wrong way, which is terrible for ergonomics and precision. LeftHandy is a free and open-source menu bar utility that provides full left-handed support in one place. It programmatically mirrors all system cursors (arrows, pointers, resize handles, and crosshairs) so the tip points naturally for left-handed use, and swaps left/right clicks instantly in real-time. The project was built using Swift and Objective-C to be extremely lightweight and responsive. Unlike other desktop tools, it has a total commitment to privacy: there is absolutely no telemetry, no tracking, and it operates entirely offline. It's packaged as a code-signed, notarized Universal Binary supporting macOS 14 Sonoma or later. I'd love feedback from macOS left-handed users, designers, developers, and anyone who wants to improve their desktop ergonomics. What features or improvements would you like to see next?
