I'm Sizwe, one half of the team behind **Learnable**.
This one started with my co-founder, **Israel Chukwuma**. We met on **YC's Co-Founder Matching** — he's in Nigeria 🇳🇬, I'm in South Africa 🇿🇦 — and he had a goal that kept coming up: he wanted to learn how to build his own LLM. Not skim a tutorial. Actually learn it, end to end.
But every path to that goal was the same mess. A pile of open tabs, three half-watched YouTube playlists, no real plan. Too scattered to be a course, too much commitment for a rigid pre-built one. We figured if it was that hard for one specific skill, it was that hard for every skill worth learning.
So we built Learnable. You type what you want to learn — "build my own LLM," "Python for ML," anything — and Claude generates a full structured course in about 15–30 seconds: weekly milestones, day-by-day topics, time estimates, and curated resources for each one. Not a list of links. An actual plan you can follow.
And because a curriculum alone isn't enough, the whole study loop lives in one place:
