Leanback is your personal AI assistant for managing engineering teams. It checks in with your team, reads every ticket and calendar, and delivers a clear action plan inside Slack, before your first coffee.
I built Leanback because, as an engineering manager, too much of my week went to chasing status: pinging people for updates, digging through tickets, and working out who was blocked. I wanted that time back for leading the team.
Leanback is an AI assistant for engineering managers that lives in Slack. Every day it:
✅ Checks in with each team member over Slack DM
🔍 Reads your tickets, PRs and calendars (Jira, Linear, GitHub, Google Calendar)
🚧 Flags blockers, stuck work and meeting overload
📋 Sends you a prioritized action plan before standup
A few things I cared about:
• Setup takes under 2 minutes
• Your team doesn't need separate accounts
• Your company data is never retained or used to train models
There's a 30-day free trial with no credit card, so you can try it with your real team.
I'd love your honest feedback, especially from other engineering managers: what's the most painful part of your week that you'd hand off first? I'll be here all day answering questions. 🙏
