Hey Product Hunt, I am Pawan, the maker of LazyReel. I built LazyReel because making a good video kept forcing me to choose between two bad options: spend hours doing repetitive timeline work, or hand the whole thing to a black box and lose control of the edit. Version 2 is the clearest expression of what I wanted instead. LazyReel is a Mac video editor, and now an AI agent can work inside it through MCP. You can ask Claude, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT, or another compatible client to inspect the open project, understand the transcript and sampled frames, prepare an edit plan, and use approved LazyReel actions. The agent can help cut the timeline, add captions, B-roll and motion, repair narration, create social versions, and prepare exports. Sensitive capabilities are permission-scoped, visible, and reviewable in the app. LazyReel still works as a hands-on editor. You can record your screen, camera, and microphone; send clips from Android or iPhone with a QR code; edit by changing the transcript; Auto Edit a rough take; add effects; and export locally up to 4K. The new MCP integration is a Pro Preview because I want to learn where agents genuinely save creators time without taking away creative judgment. I would love your honest feedback on three things: 1. What is the first editing task you would delegate to an agent? 2. Which action should always require explicit approval? 3. What would make you trust the result enough to publish it? I will be here throughout the launch, answering questions and shipping fixes. Thank you for trying LazyReel. Pawan https://lazyreel.app

Who hunted LazyReel?

LazyReel was hunted by Pawan Kumar. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
