LaunchPadX is a lightweight visual app launcher for Mac users who do not want everything to be keyboard-first. Open it from the menu bar, Dock, or an optional trackpad gesture, then browse or search apps in a familiar Launchpad-style interface.

Top comment

Hi Product Hunt, I built LaunchPadX for Mac users who still like launching apps visually. Raycast, Alfred, and Spotlight are excellent if you prefer typing. I wanted something closer to the familiar Launchpad grid, but easier to open on demand from the menu bar, Dock, or a trackpad gesture. LaunchPadX supports fast search, folders, quick launching, and a lightweight native macOS experience. I would love feedback from Mac users: - Do you still use visual app launching? - Is gesture access useful? - What would make an app like this feel more trustworthy to install?
