Hi Product Hunt,
I built LanguLearn because I wanted language practice to feel more like having a conversation with a real person, rather than typing into a chatbot or completing repetitive exercises.
LanguLearn is an open-source, self-hosted AI language tutor that can:
* Have real-time voice conversations
* Remember your learning progress and recurring mistakes
* Talk through interactive 3D avatars with facial expressions
* Support different languages, voices, and roleplay scenarios
One of the biggest challenges was creating 30 different 3D tutor avatars and connecting them with Gemini Live API's real-time voice capabilities to make conversations feel more natural.
The project is completely free to use. You only need your own Gemini API key to get started.
