Lanes compares how each side of a conflict, plus press in neutral countries, reports the same events. It reads each side's press in its own language, lines up the accounts and labels each claim as corroborated, framed, disputed or single source, with links to the articles. 8 conflicts, 109 outlets (24 state-funded), a new page every day and a globe of 90 country relationships from GDELT. Daily articles are compiled by AI and labelled not human-reviewed. Free, no ads, no sign-up.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Dejan, and I made Lanes because every conflict, and a lot of everyday life, splits into sides. I was tired of spending hours reading all of them to find what's closest to the truth. Where the sides agree is usually the closest I can get, so I built something that does that reading and shows me where they agree. What it does: for 8 conflicts (Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Palestine, US and China, US and Iran, China and Taiwan, India and Pakistan, UK and Argentina, Afghanistan and Pakistan), Lanes reads each side's press, including domestic outlets in their own language, next to press from countries outside the fight. It lines up their accounts of the same events and sorts every claim: ✅ Corroborated, and whether the sources are independent or all repeating one statement 🗣️ Framed differently, with the actual wording from each side ⚖️ Disputed, with a note on what evidence would settle it ️ Single source, when only one side reports it Every claim links back to the original articles, every outlet has an ownership note, and each conflict gets a daily page with the evidence on the same page. The globe shows 90 country relationships, coloured from cooperative to open conflict, using GDELT event data. Being upfront: the daily articles are compiled by AI (Claude) from cited reporting and labelled as not human-reviewed. A rule check demotes any "corroborated" claim that doesn't cite both sides. The outlet lists and lane rules are chosen by people, and the method is public at lanes.news/about. There's a short walkthrough in the video above if you'd rather watch than click around. It's free, there are no ads and there's nothing to sign up for. I'd really like your feedback, especially: which outlets would you add to a lane, and have you found a page where the sorting looks wrong? I'll be here all day answering.

Who hunted Lanes?

Lanes was hunted by Dejan Dakić. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
