lalaoke
Turn any song into a karaoke game β free in your browser
lalaoke is a SingStar-style karaoke game that runs in your browser: plug in a mic, sing to scrolling lyrics over a note highway, and get scored in real time. The twist: paste any YouTube link (or upload audio) and an ML pipeline auto-builds the whole chart β timed lyrics, target melody, and a vocals-removed backing track. The catalog is free to play, no account or install needed, and UltraStar charts import too. Launch code LAUNCH makes your first own song free. π€
Hey Product Hunt! π I'm David, the maker of lalaoke.
I love "Let's Sing" nights with friends, but console karaoke locks you into a fixed licensed song list. lalaoke brings that game to the browser and lets you sing anything.
How it works: pick a song from the catalog (free, no account β plug in a mic and sing), or paste a YouTube link / upload audio. An ML pipeline (Demucs for vocal separation, WhisperX for lyric timing, pitch tracking for the melody) auto-builds the playable chart: timed lyrics, target notes, and a vocals-removed backing track. It reads and writes the UltraStar format too, so existing community charts import.
It's an early beta, and I'd genuinely love your feedback on three things: 1. Does the generated chart feel accurate when you sing it? 2. How was your first-run experience (mic setup, finding a song)? 3. Does the scoring feel fair?
π Launch offer: redeem code LAUNCH in the app for a free song generation, so you can try it on a track you actually care about.
I'll be here all day answering questions β happy to go deep on the pipeline. π€

lalaoke was hunted by David Urbansky. A βhunterβ on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform β uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
