Hi Product Hunt! I'm Alex, the maker of KYB (Know Your Business).
I work with Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity. A useful infrastructure fact or deployment lesson should be available to the next agent session, without copying it between chats. I built KYB to give these tools a shared place to look and write back verified knowledge.
The source of truth is readable Markdown stored in Git. Each correction keeps its history. Tantivy provides keyword search, with an optional local multilingual embedding model for semantic retrieval. You can use it through the CLI or MCP, and track incidents alongside the knowledge they relate to.
KYB is self-hosted and MIT-licensed. The embedding model runs locally; it retrieves relevant records rather than generating answers. You can also run keyword-only search.
I'd love feedback from people using several coding agents: what knowledge gets lost between your sessions, and how would you want to retrieve and correct it?
