The starting point was a simple frustration: quiz nights are fun, but only for the people who can actually make it. Everyone else misses out, drifts off, and eventually stops engaging altogether.
The insight was that the quiz itself doesn't need to happen in real time. Give everyone the same questions, the same deadline, a shared leaderboard at the end - and suddenly it doesn't matter that half the group is busy Tuesday night.
The 14,000+ question bank came out of a secondary problem: manual quiz creation is a bottleneck that kills consistency. Auto-generation made weekly leagues genuinely sustainable for any organiser.
