Hi Product Hunt,
I built Kudzu while creating static websites with AI-generated code.
I like reviewing function components, props, JSX, hooks, and event handlers, but I didn’t want that authoring format to automatically require React, a virtual DOM, hydration, or a browser-side component tree.
Kudzu executes components during the build and produces static HTML, CSS, and only the route-specific ESM needed for actual interactions. Fully static routes ship no JavaScript, while state and events compile into direct DOM updates instead of component rerenders.
You can try it with:
npm create kudzu@latest my-app
cd my-app
npm run dev
Kudzu is experimental and is not a drop-in React replacement. It supports a statically analyzable subset and reports unsupported patterns during the build.
