kott.io does real-time dithering, glitch and generative effects in the browser. You move a slider and the image changes right away.
I originally built it to run a small live performance at my own art show. The art show never happened, but the tool did, and it turned into a visual and audio thing I like playing with.
You can plug in a MIDI controller and work the effects by hand, and it reacts to sound, so you can run it live. It works on a photo, a video, or your webcam.
There are 208 effects. Free gives you the whole engine and a good chunk of them (no card, no trial timer). Pro is $15/mo or $144/yr and unlocks the rest of the efects, plus 4K export and sync. There's a Mac app too, $49 once, fully offline.
