This started from pure frustration: getting a passport/visa photo done at a photo studio in Japan is expensive (¥1000-2000+) and the requirements are brutally strict — exact size, exact head height, exact top margin, plain background, no shadows. Get one measurement slightly off and your application gets rejected, so you pay again and go back.
Turns out the hard part isn't image quality — it's hitting those exact government specs, which most photo apps don't even check. So I built a flow that does AI background removal, automatic face alignment, and spec-checking together, entirely in your browser (WASM — no server upload until you actually pay for the final file).

Tried it with a quick selfie and the head height alignment nailed the spec first try, which is way easier than my last attempt at a convenience store photo booth.
Tried it with a messy bedroom selfie and it nailed the zairyu card dimensions on the first try, head height was spot on. Wish I had this before my last trip to immigration.
How does the AI handle glasses or head coverings since some of those specs can be pretty picky about it?
