Hey Product Hunt! I built Kondaino because every shortener I tried either tracked my audience or surprised me with an overage bill when a link performed well.
The privacy decision was the first one: we log click counts, nothing else. No opt-out needed because there's nothing to opt out of.
The pricing decision followed from the same logic: transparent, no per-click metering. Base rate is $4.99/mo — commit longer (6 to 48 months) for 5–30% off. Or stay free.
Happy to answer any questions about how it works or why I made specific tradeoffs. The tech is deliberately simple — plain PHP and MySQL on shared hosting — which is part of why it can be this cheap.
