Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm @erango, maker of Kompass. I run Kubernetes daily and bounced between two kinds of tools: web dashboards that crawl on big clusters, and Electron apps that eat RAM and still feel sluggish. I wanted something that felt like Linear or Raycast — calm, native, instant — pointed at my clusters. So I built Kompass in Rust + Dioxus. The core idea: all cluster I/O runs on a background Tokio runtime, and the UI thread only renders from in-memory state. The interface never blocks on the network — even mid-reconnect, even when exec creds expire and it silently refreshes them. What's in it: - 🔭 Discovery-driven — every built-in kind and your CRDs, auto-grouped - 📡 Live watch with stale-while-revalidate + self-healing reconnects - 📜 Logs (follow, filter, ANSI color, merged multi-pod), interactive exec terminal - ✏️ Editable syntax-highlighted YAML, port-forward, scale, drain, rollout restart - ⌨️ Command palette (⌘K), multi-cluster switcher, live CPU/Mem sparklines - 🎨 Dual dark/light theme, per-cluster accent — macOS-first, universal binary It's free and open source (MIT). brew install --cask erango/tap/kompass I'd genuinely love your feedback — especially what's missing vs Lens/k9s/Aptakube, and whether the perf holds up on your biggest clusters and configurations I have no access to. What would make this your daily driver?
