I'm Sam, founder of Knowable. I left an a16z-backed startup to make my mark on the Edtech space, and I'm excited to share an upgrade to my AI tutoring app, Knowable.
The moments that matter in tutoring are sparse. I've tutored for over 5 years and always ran into this same issue. It's one moment every 10 minutes that really matters: when someone misses a sign flip, misinterprets notation, or forgets a related example. Tutors can't be with you that way, every step of the way.
It's only recently that Visual LLMs have surpassed this mark of detailed visual comprehension. Until Opus 4.7, LLMs weren't able to recognized a mislabelled right-angle triangle! So now I'm building a product around that vision - of something able to unblock learners on the simple misgivings that lead to spirals of frustration and confusion.
Knowable relies on cutting-edge hardware on recent Macbooks. Until recently, it only worked via a Mac application. No longer! Now, it simply works in your Safari browser.
A big thanks goes out to my early adopters. It's been so wonderful seeing people experience the true potential of AI assisted learning.
I'd love to hear some thoughts from the Product Hunt community: - Do you work your thoughts out on paper? If so, do you use AI to assist you in doing so? - Did anything in Knowable annoy or frustrate you?
Looking forward to answering any and all questions!
