KLIPY is the #1 short-form media content API - GIFs, Stickers and Clips in one integration, delivering the industry's highest share rates. Over 8,000 developers build on KLIPY, including BeReal, Microsoft SwiftKey and Baidu.
Congratulations on the launch! First of all, I have to say I love the Product Hunt images you all made. Also, with Klipy how easy is it to create or add your own gifs to use internally within one's company?
As the host of a federated social networking community running Mastodon, customization and ease of integration is a must for me. My community is geek/nerd-culture focused and expression via GIFs is an important, expected feature. When Tenor stopped supporting our API usage it was a significant blow.
But KLIPY was there to step right in. Migration was quick and easy. And the fact that our low traffic qualifies us for free usage is the icing on the cake.
Thank you, KLIPY, for getting us out of the mess that Tenor created :D I and my users couldn't be more grateful
No way klipy is not featured! Guys saved us after the tenor shut down... Literally the only option in the world right now 😫🤌🤌 (ty klipy)
KLIPY is a great example of a focused product that solves a real issue. I’ve used it several times to integrate gifs into my apps and it’s so easy to use. Love it
I've been using Klipy for some time now, first of all one of the easiest APIs i have ever seen! great job team. Also I have huge respect, how fast the company has been growing.
Love the story here. Expression looks like a small layer, but when you’re inside messaging apps, it becomes part of how people actually communicate.
The fact that KLIPY is becoming an alternative while Tenor’s API is changing is a big opportunity.
What has been the biggest driver of adoption so far: better content, easier API, or migration from Tenor?
Congrats on the launch. I am impressed with the development of Klipy. So much credits to you guys. A question here, we currently use Tenor's API. Is it simple to migrate over to your platform?
Super clean and simple! Even more relevant in this age where everyone is somewhat of a builder/creator. The 100/hr rate limit on dev is quite generous too.
I'd suggest making the pricing/tier page easier to find - one thing I struggled with. Good luck!
Klippy is amazing we are using it for reetro serving around 50k active users per month and it works smoothly.
Hi guys, First of all, congratulations. Great product. I have one question. Content safety is a major priority for us, as our app is designed for younger audiences. What capabilities do you have in place to ensure that the media library remains kid-friendly and age-appropriate?Thanks!
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m George, COO of KLIPY.
I lead the product, operations, and content teams, who have been working non-stop to ensure our visual expression layer has the most dynamic, high-quality, and localized library available.
We love working closely with founders and developers to integrate KLIPY into apps of all sizes.
I'll be hanging out in the comments today. Let me know if you want to chat about content or how we can support your app's growth! 🚀
Congrats on the launch Klipy team! I'm curious, what are the biggest differences between the KLIPY API and platforms like GIPHY or Tenor? Is there a particular advantage or use case where you feel KLIPY stands out the most?
On the engineering side, KLIPY has been an exciting challenge: building fast and relevant search across GIFs, stickers, and clips, keeping content fresh, supporting moderation and creator attribution, and making the API simple enough for developers to integrate quickly.
Our goal is to give apps a reliable expression layer that works at scale, especially as many teams look for alternatives in this space. Super proud of the team and excited to hear your feedback. I’ll be around today to answer any technical or integration questions.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Givi, Co-Founder and CEO of KLIPY.
We built KLIPY alongside with founders/leaders from Tenor.com to make expression, content creation, and distribution across the world's biggest platforms easier than ever.
Today, KLIPY drivers hundreds of millions of searches across 8,000+ developer sign-ups, including Microsoft SwiftKey, BeReal, and Baidu, and is helping major apps migrate as Google winds down Tenor’s third-party API.
Last month, three startup logos were showcased on the main stage at Google I/O by Logan Kilpatrick. One of them was ours! Excited to hear your thoughts - let's chat!
