I'm David, a freelance developer from Germany. Like a lot of freelancers, I've signed client contracts I didn't fully understand: unlimited liability, 60-day payment terms, buy-out clauses that hand over all rights. So I built Klauselklaus.
You upload a client contract (PDF, DOCX or RTF) and get a free risk check: an overall rating plus the risky clauses, flagged and explained in plain German. If you want to push back, the full analysis (9€ one-time, no subscription) gives you concrete counter-proposals, a ready-to-send negotiation email, and a heads-up on protective clauses you're missing.
A few things I cared about:
- No subscription. One free tier, one 9€ option. That's it.
- Privacy-first: your contract text is never stored, everything runs on EU servers.
- Free calculators, no signup: hourly rate, late-payment interest, Kleinunternehmer and false-self-employment check.
Heads-up: it's made for German-speaking freelancers and German contracts (DACH), so it's most useful if that's you.
