So we flipped it. Klaatu (our routing model) looks at each message and decides which of 5 cost tiers should answer it, escalating only when a task actually needs it. Tool rounds are free. That's the whole trick, and it's why Klaat Code (our terminal agent) solves the same 33-task benchmark as Claude Code at 5.4× lower cost — not projected, reproducible: bun run bench in the repo.
