I built Kintsu because I was tired of the anxiety that comes with traditional habit trackers. We’ve all been there: you build a 45-day streak, life gets in the way, you miss one day, and boom! you’re back to zero. It feels like a punishment, and it often leads to abandoning the habit entirely.
Kintsu is inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. Instead of punishing you for breaking a streak, Kintsu rewards your resilience. If you miss a day but return the next, that missed day is repaired with gold on your canvas. It celebrates your comeback. ✨
