KinKudos is a private, self-hosted family app that turns everyday tasks into shared progress. Children complete tasks, earn points, save toward rewards, and build better habits, while parents keep expectations clear and fair. It works as an installable web app on phones, tablets, and computers, with no ads, no subscriptions, and family data hosted on infrastructure you control.
Hi Product Hunt,
This is KinKudos, an open-source project I’ve been working on for family tasks, points and rewards.
The main idea is to give children something clear to work toward, rather than just another list of chores. They can complete tasks, earn points, save for rewards and see their progress. Parents create the tasks, approve what was done and decide how the rules work.
There is also an optional chance to win some extra points after completing a task. It adds a little more excitement, but parents decide how it works or can turn it off completely.
KinKudos is self-hosted and designed for one family. You choose where it runs and where the data is hosted. There are no ads or subscriptions. The project also includes a guided setup, a public demo and installation documentation.
KinKudos is still improving, and specific feedback would be genuinely useful. What feels confusing, inconvenient or unnecessary? What is missing? And what would need to change before you would use it with your own family?
